One lockup, drawn for light grounds. The plane is a hole, so whatever ground the mark sits on shows through it.

On light and dark, large and small

Light ground — the one cut the brand drew.

Small sizes

The disc and the plane survive at 16px. The trail and the orbit line are the first details to go.

The idea

Langround is a fictional flight-compensation service, invented as the brief for a self-initiated project. The mark is a blue disc with a plane, its trail and an orbit line cut out of it.

One outline, filled twice: a solid blue underneath and a vertical gradient on top. The ramp climbs the disc's centre line from y 33.50 to 1.23, so the lowest 30% of the disc holds the base blue.

Measured

Plotted in the lockup's own units. The vertical rule is the gradient's axis, on the disc's centre line.

What the file says12 properties

Icon bounds

49.17 × 47.95

2.5% wider than tall — a drawn disc, not a geometric circle.

One outline, twice

2 paths

A solid #2C60FF and the gradient share the same path data, character for character.

Fill rule

even-odd

The plane, its trail and the orbit line are holes in the disc, so they take the colour of whatever is behind the mark.

Gradient axis

x 24.58

Straight up the disc's centre line, from #2C60FF at y 33.50 to #43D2FF at y 1.23.

Flat base

30.1%

Below y 33.50 the ramp has not begun: the bottom 14.45 units of the disc hold #2C60FF.

Wordmark

one path, 13 contours

Nine letters in one outline; the other four contours are the counters of a, g, o and d.

x-height / cap

80.3%

17.39 against 21.65 — the n reaches four-fifths of the L.

Ascender

+1.17

The d rises 1.17 above the cap line; the L stops at it.

Descender

8.49

The g drops 8.49 below the 35.51 baseline — 39% of the cap height.

Shared bowl

7.53 × 8.51

The counters of a, g and d match to a hundredth: one bowl, used three times.

Icon → wordmark

10.74 · 22.4%

Measured against the icon's height. Close to Vectora's 23.3%.

Wordmark colour

#209BFF

A third blue: lighter than the disc's base, darker than the ramp's top stop.

Contrastfour ratios

WCAG relative luminance on the fills in the file. The 4.5:1 bar is applied only where it applies — a graphic element is not text.

#2C60FF

4.97:1

Disc blue on white

The disc's base — and the one blue in the mark that would clear 4.5:1 as text.

#209BFF

2.92:1

Wordmark on white

Under the 4.5:1 bar, and lighter than the disc beside it. A logotype is exempt; a heading set in this blue would not be.

#43D2FF

1.76:1

Top stop on white

The top of the ramp. The disc's edge there leans on the darker blue below it.

#209BFF

1.70:1

Wordmark against the disc

The two blues sit close: the word reads as the disc's colour family, not as a contrast to it.

Measurements

Measured off the vector

  • The plane and its trails are holes, not white shapes.

Both icon paths are even-odd; on a dark ground the ground shows through them.

  • The disc is one outline drawn twice.

Two paths with identical data: solid #2C60FF under the vertical gradient.

  • a, g and d share one bowl.

    Their counters measure 7.52–7.53 × 8.51.

  • It is a concept, not a client's shipped identity.

The Langround case study, which says so in its client line.

Measured from the case study's logo.svg, built from the concept's Figma file, by solving each curve for its extrema.
